Easy, quick and super cheesy, these air-fryer mozzarella balls are perfect for sport snacking. With a crispy coating of chilli tortilla chips and a spicy sriracha and tomato dipping sauce, these are the ultimate game-day snack. See method
Ingredients
- 80g hot chilli flavour tortilla chips
- 1½ tbsp plain flour
- 1 medium egg, lightly beaten
- 250g block pizza mozzarella, cut into 1cm cubes
- 150ml tomato passata
- 1 tbsp sriracha

Method
- Tip the tortilla chips into a bowl and crush with the base of a wooden spoon until they resemble a rough crumb.
- Place the flour and egg in 2 separate bowls. Dip each piece of mozzarella in the flour, followed by the egg and finally the crushed tortilla chips until evenly coated. Place on the tray directly in the air-fryer.
- Once they are all coated, cook in the air-fryer at 180°C for 5-6 mins until golden, crisp and melted in the middle.
- Meanwhile, in a small pan, mix the passata and sriracha together until well combined and cook for 2-3 mins over a medium heat until warm. Spoon into a bowl and serve with the melting mozzarella balls.
Tip: Mix it up and crush your favourite flavour of tortilla chip to personalise your mozzarella balls.
