Like a chocolate bonbon with a shape that is similar to a truffle - Brigadeiros are made with sweetened condensed milk, butter, cocoa powder and covered in sprinkles. Ingredients
- 40g unsalted butter
- 25g (1oz) cocoa, sieved
- 2 x 397g tins condensed milk
- 175g (6oz) chocolate flavoured sprinkles

Method
- In a nonstick saucepan melt the butter over a low heat while mixing in the cocoa completely. Then stir in the condensed milk. Cook over a medium heat, stirring all the time, until thickened and glossy (about 8-10 minutes). The mixture is thick enough when you can pull a spoon through it and briefly see the bottom of the pan.
- Remove from heat and leave to stand until cool enough to handle. Form the mixture into small balls, then roll in the chocolate sprinkles and eat immediately. Alternatively, chill before serving in small paper cases.
