Ingredients
- 75g unsalted butter, softened
- 4 garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
- 50g (2oz) classic green pesto
- handful basil, roughly chopped
- 1 x white baton

Method
- In a small bowl combine the softened butter, pesto, crushed garlic and chopped basil. Make 1-inch thick slices into the bread, but do not go all the way through, just to the bottom crust. Put a teaspoon or two of the butter mixture between each slice.
- Wrap the bread in foil and place on the barbecue for 12-15 mins. Unwrap and serve.
Tip: To cook this in the oven rather than on a barbecue, preheat the oven to gas 6, 200°C fan 180°C and place the foil parcel on a baking tray for 15 mins. Remove, unwrap and serve.
