Ingredients
- 6 baking potatoes, about 250g (8oz) each
- 2 tsp sunflower oil
- 2 x 120g packs thick-cut roast ham
- 125g (4oz) mature cheddar slices
- watercress, to serve
If you don't have any Cheddar, try using another hard cheese

Method
- Preheat the oven to gas 6, 200°C, fan 180°C. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Make 5 parallel cuts in each potato, about two-thirds of the way down, taking care not to cut all the way through. Rub the skins with oil, put on the baking tray and cook in the oven for 45-50 minutes or until tender when pierced with a skewer.
- Meanwhile, tear the ham into strips and dice the cheese.
- When the potatoes are cooked, gently open the slits very slightly and put a piece of ham and cheese in each slit.
- Return to the oven for 5-7 minutes until the cheese melts. Garnish with watercress to serve.
