Short on time? This harissa spaghetti recipe couldn't be simpler. Make a silky sauce with just 2 ingredients - don't forget to save a little pasta water to thicken the sauce. Serve alongside a leafy green salad for some freshness and plenty of Parmesan. See method
Ingredients
- 100g salted butter, at room temperature
- 1-1½ tbsp harissa paste, to taste
- 350g spaghetti
- 20g Parmesan, finely grated, to serve
- small handful rocket, to serve
If you haven't got spaghetti, try using linguine instead

Method
- Place the butter and harissa into a mini food processor and whizz until smooth and well combined.
- Cook the spaghetti to pack instructions, drain and reserve a mugful of water. Add the spaghetti back to the pan along with the harissa butter and a splash of pasta water. Toss well to coat and combine.
- Divide between bowls and top with Parmesan and rocket.
