These simple tofu brochettes are super easy to cook and make a lovely light meal. Coating the tofu in honey and olive oil and adding a crisp sesame seed crust brings both flavour and texture to this easy tofu recipe. See method
Ingredients
- 1 x 396g pack plain tofu, drained
- 50ml (1 3/4fl oz) olive oil
- 2 tbsp runny honey
- salt
- pepper
- 4 tbsp sesame seeds
- 150g (5oz) spinach
- wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

Method
- Heat the grill to hot.
- Whisk together the olive oil and honey. Thread the cubes of tofu onto skewers, fitting 4 to each brochette and brush with the olive oil and honey and season well. Coat the tofu cubes in the sesame seeds so that they are covered evenly.
- Grill for 6-8 minutes until golden brown on the outside. Arrange the spinach on serving plates. Place the tofu brochettes on top of the spinach and serve immediately.
