A hearty bowl of oats packed with scrumptious pears, mixed fruit and cinnamon. This easy breakfast recipe can be made in advance to save time and effort and is wonderfully fragrant - it's sure to brighten up any morning. See method
Ingredients
- 200g Free From oats
- 300ml almond milk
- 300ml apple juice
For the topping
- 2 ripe pears, peeled, cored and sliced
- 100g dried fruit mix
- 75g pecans, roughly chopped
- maple syrup, to taste
- ground cinnamon, to taste
If you don't have any pears, try using apples

Method
- In a small bowl or lidded container, combine the oats, almond milk and apple juice; mix well. Cover and leave to soak overnight (or see tip, below) in the fridge.
- Divide the muesli into bowls and top with the pear slices, dried fruit and pecans. Drizzle each bowl with maple syrup and dust with cinnamon. Serve immediately.
Tip: Whip up a big batch of bircher muesli and store in the fridge for up to 3 days. Add the topping just before serving.
