If you're a fan of the negroni, you'll love this zesty Italian-inspired vermouth cocktail. Made with sweet red vermouth, a dash of rich cherry brandy and freshly squeezed orange juice, it makes a sophisticated apéritif or dinner party drink. See method
Ingredients
- 25ml sweet red vermouth
- 30ml cherry brandy
- 50ml orange juice
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- chilled sparkling water
- 1 strip pared orange peel, plus 50ml freshly squeezed juice

Method
- Put the vermouth, brandy and citrus juice in a cocktail shaker along with some ice cubes. Shake to mix, and then strain into a tumbler and top up as desired with sparkling water.
- Garnish the edge of the glass with a strip of orange peel.
