A beer cocktail with a kick of rum and lashings of Canada Dry Ginger Ale – just the thing for thirsty rugby fans. See method
Ingredients
- 100ml spiced rum
- 2 limes, 1 juiced and 1 cut into quarters
- 2 x 330ml bottles pale ale, such as Hoegaarden
- 600ml (1pt) ginger ale, such as Canada Dry Ginger Ale, chilled
If you don't have any limes, try a lemon instead

Method
- Divide the rum between 4 hi-ball glasses, add a dash of lime juice and stir.
- Add a handful of ice cubes into each glass, then fill two-thirds of the glass with beer.
- Top up with ginger ale, stir and decorate with lime quarters. Serve immediately.
