A G&T is a classic, but it's not the only way to enjoy tonic water in a tipple. Try this summery long drink featuring white port that's light, zingy and oh-so-refreshing. White port flavour profiles vary, depending on how it's aged, from light and citrus, to floral and aromatic and even creamy and vanilla-flavoured. The possibilities with this drink are endless! Method
- Fill a tall glass with the ice cubes and pour over the white port and tonic water. Garnish with the orange or lemon wedge to serve, if you like.
Tip: Classic tonic water, sometimes called Indian tonic water, has a distinctive clean, slightly bitter quinine flavour, with light citrus notes. It goes well with a shot of espresso, dark rum or whisky, or white port.
