This vibrant green guacamole dip is ideal for a Halloween party or to feed hungry trick-or-treaters. Made with creamy avocado and served with scarily-shaped tortillas, this quick and easy recipe makes a tasty, healthy snack. Use biscuit cutters or a sharp knife to cut out the tortillas; simple shapes such as bats, pumpkins and skulls work well but you can be as creative as you like. See method
Ingredients
For the spooky tortillas
- 4 large, flour tortillas
- 2 tbsp olive oil
For the slime dip
- 2 ripe avocados, halved
- ¼ red onion, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp coriander, finely chopped
- 1 lime, juiced
If you don't have red onions, try using white, brown or spring onions

Method
- Preheat the oven to gas 4, 180°C, fan 160°C. Lightly brush the tortillas with olive oil on both sides.
- Cut out your choice of spooky Halloween shapes and spread out on a large baking sheet. Bake for 6 mins, turning halfway through, until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool.
- To make the dip, scoop the flesh from the avocados and mash in a bowl with the red onion, coriander and lime juice. Season to taste. Serve the dip with the spooky tortillas for dipping.
