Forget boring bangers, hot dogs get a spicy makeover with Fire Pit chorizo sausages, sweet onions, roasted red peppers and a quick homemade aioli. A speedy midweek meal – ready in 25 minutes – that the whole family can enjoy. See method
Ingredients
- 2 onions, cut into thick wedges
- 2 x packs 6 Fire Pit Chorizo Sausages
- 60g rocket
- 200g roasted red peppers, drained and thinly sliced
For the quick aioli
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 100g mayonnaise
- juice ½ lemon
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 6 Fire Pit Hot Dog Buns, to serve

Method
- Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the onion wedges on a high heat for 5-10 mins until caramelised and just browning. Meanwhile, cook the sausages according to pack instructions.
- In a bowl, mix together the aioli ingredients and season to taste.
- To serve, divide the rocket between the buns and top with 2 sausages each. Add the roasted red peppers and drizzle with aioli; serve immediately.
