Who doesn't love a bit of mash? These light and fluffy mashed potatoes are the ideal accompaniment to your Christmas dinner See method
Ingredients
- 1.2kg Maris Piper potatoes, peeled and cut into 2.5cm chunks
- 500g celeriac, peeled and cut into 2cm chunks
- 1 garlic clove, peeled
- 75g 50% less fat crème fraîche
- 50g pecorino, finely grated
- 6 thyme sprigs, leaves picked, plus extra to serve

Method
- Put the potato, celeriac and garlic in a large pan and cover with cold water. Bring to the boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 12-15 mins until tender.
- Drain well, then season and pulse in a food processor (or mash) until puréed with the crème fraîche, pecorino and thyme. Sprinkle with extra thyme leaves to serve.
