Banana bread is such a much-loved bake, it's become a flavour in its own right! Here, we've turned it into energy balls with oats, flaxseeds and dates. Rustled up in minutes then chilled in the fridge, they're a tasty, healthy snack for when you're feeling in need of a boost! See method
Ingredients
- 100g porridge or rolled oats
- 50g milled flaxseeds, plus 2 tbsp
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon, plus a pinch
- 2 small, ripe bananas
- 3 pitted soft dates

Method
- Put the oats, 50g flaxseeds and ½ tsp cinnamon in a food processor and blitz to a coarse powder. Add the bananas and dates, then pulse until combined.
- Divide the mixture into 12 and roll into even-sized balls. Sprinkle with the remaining 2 tbsp flaxseeds, rolling so they are well coated, then dust with a pinch of cinnamon. Rest in the fridge for at least 20 mins before eating. Keep, covered, in the fridge for up to 3 days.
