Here's our version of the Bloody Maria – a twist on the classic Bloody Mary cocktail that features tequila in place of vodka. There's still the savoury-tomatoey flavours you love in a Bloody Mary – with a spicy, Mexican-style edge! It's the perfect drink to serve at grown-up Halloween gatherings and Bonfire Night parties. Ingredients
- 300ml tequila
- 900ml tomato juice
- 3 tsp hot sauce
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- juice of 3 limes (juiced lime halves set aside)
- 2 tsp crushed chillies
- 2 tsp fine sea salt
- ice cubes
If you don't have any limes, try a lemon instead

Method
- Mix the tequila, tomato juice, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce and lime juice in a jug; set the juiced lime halves to one side.
- On a plate, mix the crushed chillies and salt. Rub the juiced lime halves around the rim of 6 glasses, then dip the rims into the chilli salt to coat.
- Add a few ice cubes to each glass, then pour over the Bloody Maria. Add a wedge of fresh lime to each glass to serve.
