We've given mulled wine a zesty, Spanish-inspired twist to make this fabulous mulled wine sangria. Packed with brandy, red wine and mulling spices, this punchy cocktail is great for Christmas parties. Serve either hot or over ice. See method
Ingredients
- 750ml red wine
- 175ml orange juice
- 50ml brandy
- 50ml sherry (optional)
- 2 sachets muling spices
- 1 orange, sliced
- 1 cinnamon sticks, plus extra to garnish
- rosemary sprigs, to garnish

Method
- Pour the red wine, orange juice, brandy and sherry into a pot with the sachets of mulling spices, 3 orange slices and the cinnamon stick. Simmer slowly and gently for 10/15 minutes.
- Either serve hot into heat-proof glasses or mugs or allow to cool and serve over ice. Garnish with the rest of the sliced orange, sprigs of rosemary and cinnamon sticks.
