If you fancy something a bit different drizzled over your salads, try this quick salad dressing recipe, inspired by spicy-sweet teriyaki sauce. It's bold, fragrant and versatile – try it with grilled salmon, rice and salad leaves topped with sesame seeds – delicious! See method
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp clear honey
- 1 tsp garlic & ginger paste
- 3 tbsp reduced-salt soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil

Method
- Add the honey, garlic & ginger paste, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil and 2 tbsp water to a clean jar with a tight-fitting lid. Screw on the lid and shake vigorously to mix.
- Taste and adjust to your preference – add more honey if you like it sweeter or soy sauce if it needs more salt.
Tip: You could use this recipe as a sauce for a stir-fry, letting the dressing reduce over a low heat until sweet and sticky.
