Warm fruit, cider and festive spices in a pan for the ultimate quick and easy mulled cider to serve at Christmas or whenever you fancy a warming winter tipple. Garnish with cinnamon stick stirrers for a special finishing touch. See method
Ingredients
- 440ml Tesco Apple Cider
- 25ml Tesco Quadruple Strength Cherries & Berries Squash
- 50g Tesco Frozen Pitted Sweet Cherries
- 50g frozen blackberries
- 50g golden caster sugar
- 1 apple, halved, cored and sliced
- 1 cinnamon stick, plus 6 to serve
- 1 star anise
- 4 whole cloves

Method
- Pour the cider and squash into a large saucepan with 500ml water.
- Stir in the cherries, blackberries, golden caster sugar, apple, cinnamon stick, star anise and cloves. Simmer (don’t boil) over a low heat for around 10 mins until the apple starts to soften.
- Take off the heat and remove the whole spices. Ladle the mixture into heatproof glasses or mugs to serve and garnish with cinnamon stick stirrers.
